Department Introduction
Developing research talent in the fields of biomedical and pharmaceutical science Founded in August 2005 in response to the government’s push to develop medical biotechnology industries, and to meet industry demand for qualified professionals, the Graduate Institute of Basic Medicine began accepting students to its master’s program that same year. After approval from the Ministry of Education, we were renamed the Graduate Institute of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Science (GIBPS) in August of 2016. The institute actively recruits domestic and international talent from the fields of biomedical and pharmaceutical science, carefully focusing our resources on creating a high-quality research and academic environment to meet our educational objectives. A broad array of disciplines are taught and researched at GIBPS, including neurology, cellular biology, molecular biology, oncology, and hereditary genomics. Our future development will see increasing integration of resources in basic, clinical, and cross-disciplinary medicine. Research will focus on exploring aging-related disease on the cellular, molecular, and genetic levels, and then expand into developing pharmaceuticals for the prevention and alleviation of age-related illness. We will also be actively promoting a greater connection between research in biomedical and clinical medicine with medical industries to boost the visibility of GIBPS and enhance the real-world application of our research. This will also give students access to comprehensive knowledge about the different facets of medical biotechnology industries and practical know-how; equipped with a vast store of professional knowledge, our students will enjoy a wide range of career prospects to choose from.
Despite the widespread use of nerve-sparing prostatectomy techniques, the incidence of post-operative erectile dysfunction (ED) remains high. Early intracavernous (IC) injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) after nerve crushing..... Despite advances in prognosis and treatment of lung adenocarcinoma (LADC), a notable non-small cell lung cancer subtype, patient outcomes are still unsatisfactory. New insight on novel therapeutic strategies for LADC......
